Monthly Challenge: January

2020 is here and I think it's time for some challenges! After all the planning and organizing that I've been doing before starting the new semester, I've decided that I want to challenge myself to do something for an entire month, for approximately 5 months. So, this month I've chosen to refrain from eating fast food; no McDonalds, KFC, Texas Chicken or anything of the sort. Before this, I think I've only ever refrained from eating McDonalds, but that was for Lent. Now, I want to take it a stretch further because I've realized how much I've been spending on junk food and want to be a bit more healthier this year. Plus, this will push me to cook more often instead of caving and going out for/ordering food. I'm also planning to go back to my low carb diet for at least 5 days a week starting next semester because I've been setting small goals for myself that I'll post about on another day (that's a whole other struggle that I have to deal with).

But yea, I'll be posting updates here and there about this challenge on how I'm coping with everything or if I've succumbed to my deepest temptations. Keep me in your prayers because I will definitely need them. The amount of days and nights I go about thinking of fried chicken.... I really need to stop that and think about thesis for a change. Wish me luck as I embark on this journey which I'm glad to say has gone on for 3 days now successfully (I don't know if that's an achievement but I'll take it as one for motivational purposes). I'll also have to think of what challenge I want to do next month because I was thinking of going vegetarian but we'll see how that goes but first I have to do some research on protein substitutes that I can withstand eating on a daily. Welp, here goes nothing!
