Daiso Makeup Brush Cleaner Review

Hey again! How has everyone's week been so far? Tomorrow is Christmas eve so I thought I'd write a little review on this makeup brush cleaner that I recently got. For all you makeup lovers out there, cleaning your brushes thoroughly is now easier, quicker and cleaner! So, from the picture above, this is the makeup brush cleaner. The first pic shows the inside of the container. It has a removable silicon base that has ridges on it to help with the cleaning process. The second image shows the top part of the container, when inverted it becomes a brush stand. This is such a functional little trinket and I absolutely love it.

All I do is, pour my cleaner into the bottom container and swirl my brushes across those ridges till they're all clean. Then, I just wash off the soap and DONE! At first I thought of buying the silicon brush cleansing mat that you stick to your sink but when I saw this I thought that it was so much more convenient and functional compared to the cleansing mat. Plus, it only costs RM5.90? That my friends is A STEAL. I'll leave an image of the before and after of how my brushes looked like for you guys to see how well it works. Of course, the overall cleanliness of the brushes depends on the type of cleanser you use as well. For me, I do a simple DIY version that I saw on YouTube a couple of years back. I use this whenever I run out of actual makeup brush/sponge cleanser. Basically, all I need is dish wash detergent (anti-bacterial is preferred), extra virgin olive oil and a bit o water. I use this for both my brushes and my sponges and honestly it's a really inexpensive and convenient way to clean your brushes because you would most likely have all those ingredients in your kitchen anyways.
